To properly manage the problem of hair loss it is important
to take a wholistic approach. This is why we offer a
treatment programme rather than just types of treatment,
and as a result we have the highest success rate for
both men and women, with a satisfaction rate of around
90%.
The aim of the treatment is twofold, firstly to slow
down or halt the hair loss process itself and secondly
to stimulate and reactivate the dormant hair follicles
into regrowing new hair again. There is no surgery involved
and the treatment is safe and painless. A medical assessment
must first be carried out to exclude other causes which
may require different treatment.
The Clinic uses specialised oral and topical medications,
some of which are naturally occurring herbal products
and minerals, and supplements essential to hair growth,
combined with laser stimulation to the scalp.
Because of our affiliation with a research and development
foundation we are able to offer the very latest in treatment
knowledge and products from developments both nationally
and internationally, so our patients can be assured
that their treatment programmes are the latest developments.
The result is that within 3-4 months in the average
patient there is a visible improvement as thinning,
limp, wispy hair is converted to hair of improved quality,
strength, colour and numbers, and the hair looks thicker
and with more body. Further improvement takes place
over the next 6-12 months. Obviously the earlier the
intervention in the hair loss process the more hair
that can be saved and the better the end result but
regardless of your stage or age, as long as you have
hair you want to save the treatment will help you to
do this.
It is important to realize that this is a long term
management programme. The first 6 to 12 months of treatment
is the most intensive to enable us to get the best and
quickest results possible. After these first 12 months
the hair stabilises and the treatment is reduced further
to a simple maintenance level so that we can retain
the benefits achieved. Please note that if the treatment
is ceased completely then these achievements will be
gradually lost again, so long term maintenance treatment
is essential.
