Treatment guide
It is a non-invasive procedure carried out under topical anaesthesia for comfort and delivers RF energy in a novel and much more effective way than previously possible. To date, all energy devices (RF, Laser, Ultrasonic) could only deliver energy to the skin surface thus limiting their effectiveness.
Consultation required. Treatment protocol will be advised:
'Light Protocol' / 'Strong Protocol'.
The Light Protocol procedure suits most people and is carried out comfortably with topical anaesthetic cream alone.
The Strong Protocol applies higher energy levels for deeper and more intense results where indicated and usually requires some local anaesthetic. Sedation is not generally required but is available for those who wish it.
About the technology:
The Morpheus 8 / Fractora handpieces have pins that vary from 0.5mm to as far as 4mm reach under the skin surface to deliver the energy precisely and accurately at the depth where it is most effective and in the dose that will deliver the best results possible.
Morpheus 8 Fractora technology is different from other micro-needling treatments as it combines micro-needling with radiofrequency energy delivered uniquely through the pins at the depth and the energy levels that give the best results possible today. Micro-needling alone induces repair processes with additional collagen production but it is the addition of the RF that produces the very significant tightening and contraction of the tissues at all levels. Results are greatly enhanced with the RF.
Considerations
Most people can be treated safely, comfortably and effectively but there are some medical contraindications to the use of RF generally, such as if you have an implanted pacemaker, that may make the treatment inappropriate so a medical consultation is important for proper assessment. In these exceptional cases we will discuss alternative treatment for you.
Downtime is negligible and consists of some redness that may last 1-2 days for the Light Protocol and 2-4 days for the Stronger Protocol.
